Today, November 2^nd, is All Souls’ Day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed — the last day of Allhallowtide in the Western Christian tradition and the final Día de (los) Muertos in Mexico and the Mexican diaspora.

It can simultaneously be a day of remembrance, a day of celebration, and a day when people pray for the souls of the dearly departed.
